Every year in the first lunar month, Giong Temple remains a sacred destination that many tourists from all over the world choose to worship and participate in traditional rituals. Saint Phu Dong Thien Vuong, one of the four immortals of Vietnamese beliefs.

Thuong Temple (Phu Dong Thien Vuong Temple) – where we are visiting this is the main temple. The temple turns to the south, overlooking the dyke of the Duong river. Previously, this place was just a temple, but when King Ly Thai To moved the capital to Thang Long, he built it into a spacious temple. Experiencing many restorations, the current temple is mainly the pieces of the works of the Ly, Le Trung Hung, and Nguyen dynasties and even parts with contemporary colors.

The temple includes the following items: Thuy Dinh, Five Gate Gate (five gates), Phuong Dinh, Front Street, Middle Street, Hau Palace, Left House, Giam House, Three compartments house, Guest house, and shop house.
Tam Quan Temple: Built in the late 19th century. Right in front of the temple door, we can easily see the image of two rather large stone dragons, carved in 1705. The stone dragons are stylized with strong and liberal touches.
Entering behind the three gates will see two stone lions, one of the ancient treasures of the temple. It is known that a pair of stone lions carved from the reign of King Le Du Tong (1705).
In front of the temple gate is a large yard overlooking the lake and Thuy Dinh, where activities such as water puppetry and cultural performances take place every festival.

Thuy Dinh is located in the middle of the communal house pond, has a square plan, with two floors, 8 roofs, roofed with tiled nose. The sets because of the overlapping structure of the gong rack and the roof are divided according to the upper tam and lower tam styles. The roof system is supported on 4 rows of column legs.
Next, we will enter the Five Gate Gate (five doors) with 3 main doors and 2 side doors, with a massive appearance like a city gate, built of bricks, the door frames are all arched. door type upper and lower, lower version. Above the gate is a 2-storey building with 8 roofs.
Stepping inside is the eight-roof house, each visitor will feel the quiet, majestic and very pure atmosphere here. In particular, visitors will see an impressive set of gongs and drums that are played every time the Giong temple festival is opened.
The pair of drum gongs has a diameter of up to 1.2m. During the festival season, the sound of drums and gongs will make the atmosphere more heroic in the re-enactment of the heroic battle of Saint Giong.
Along with the Giong Festival, Phu Dong Temple is really an attractive destination for tourists from near and far because this is where the beautiful legend of Vietnamese people was born in the process of building and defending the country.
