Duong Lam Ancient Village – is the first ancient village to be awarded the National Historical and Cultural Relic by the State of Vietnam. This is also the land of “the genius of the people”, the only place “one hamlet, two kings” – the birthplace of King Phung Hung and King Ngo Quyen.

Main Gate of the Temple Phung Hung
Phung Hung temple was established in many places in Vietnam, but the temple in Duong Lam (Son Tay town, Hanoi) has the largest scale, unique architecture, and contains many historical values. , most cultural. Phung Hung Temple was ranked a historical, architectural and artistic relic by the Ministry of Culture and Information in 1964.

Phung Hung was king and took care of national affairs for only 7 years ( folklore says he was born on November 25, 761 and died on September 13, 802, aged 41). Mourning for a general who had not yet been able to call himself Vuong had to leave, the people and soldiers worshiped Phung Hung as Bo Cai – Bo Cai Dai Vuong and built a temple to commemorate.
The temple, after major repair and restoration in the 19th century, now includes the following items: Nghi Mon Gate, Left Gate, Dai Bai and the Harem.
The Nghi Mon Gate was built simply, with the function of separating the spiritual world and mundane life. The temple gate has two tall pillars, on the neckline, the edge, the lantern box creates an appearance close to the national cultural identity; Above is written a couplets praising the merits of Phung Hung.
Through the gate are two rows of left and right, each row of 3 compartments, the sets of trusses create ventilation and convenience for community activities.
Through a large courtyard, step up the three steps, we are entering the Great Bai of the temple. This is a 5-room building, built in the style of a back wall, on the roof of a comedic nose. The roof is made in the style of a stack of gongs. There are 08 residual heads which are finely carved, with the artistic style of the 19th century.

Through a narrow courtyard is the harem. This is an architectural building consisting of 3 compartments, built in the gable style. Inside the harem, there is a statue worshiping Bo Cai Dai Vuong Phung Hung in the most solemn position. The statue of Bo Cai Dai Vuong Phung Hung is made of bronze and is very majestic.
In the temple, there is a stele of Phung Tu Bi inscription at Doai Giap communal house carved in the 4th year of Hong Duc (1473), which records a lot of information related to the life and career of Bo Cai Dai Vuong Phung Hung.
In addition, Cam Lam village area still has Ho Gam hill, Doai Giap village has Bo Ve mound – a place associated with the body and career of Bo Cai Dai Vuong.
